The first time I went camping, I was eight months pregnant and feeling adventurous. We rented an RV (recreational vehicle) from Cruise America. The RV came with a full bed, dining area that converted into beds for the girls, a small kitchenette, and the “cockpit”. Imagine driving a U-Haul with a 2 year old and a 4 year old from Seattle through the top of Washington, through the bottoms of Canada in a loop to end at Seattle again. Pregnant. After that trip I vowed I would only ever go camping in a trailer (read why) - if I were to ever go camping again. The following summer we rented an airstream for a country weekend, and I was sold.
