Random Good Finds: Port San Luis

Port San Luis was one of the most incredible surprise discoveries when we were en route to Big Sur. It barely passes for a “campground”, more street side parking intended for RVs and Trailers. What made this place so magical for me is that this port is located on the southern belly of a peninsula… which makes the sun rise in the west and sun set in the east. It is truly a mind trip. The way the light hits the water is like a literal Monet painting. The Milky Way was so intense and clear and vivid, my mind couldn’t even comprehend what it was seeing until Michael gave his 2¢ in confirming it was indeed, THE MOST EPIC Milky Way we had both ever seen. A cute pier had some fun shops and typical/traditional pier type food. We camped with our friends who have three boys, exactly age parallel to our three girls - tons of space and enough to do to keep all the kiddos content.
